You wake up at 6 a.m. ready to start your day. But before you jolt out of bed, you realize your alarm clock hasn't gone off. It doesn't have to because it's your day off.

You let out a huge sigh of relief as you sink your head back into the soft pillow and curl up under the sheets and think of all the things you'll do on your day off. After about 15 minutes and a million twists and turns, you realize you can't go back to your slumber. So you get up and decide to make the most of your day. No waiting in traffic jams, no running late for a meeting, no office, no deadlines, NO WORK! Just the thought of it makes you smile from ear to ear. The day is yours, and you are ready to take full advantage.

The problem is you simply don't know where to start. You have all this free time, and you begin to get overwhelmed just thinking about all the things you could do with it. You end up freezing up, grabbing a box of Corn Flakes and sitting in front of the television set. You decide you'll catch up on a few shows while you wait for inspiration to strike you. Pretty soon, however, you're on your 10th re-run of Project Runway. You look up at the clock and notice the hours you treasured so dearly this morning have disappeared into the bright sun. Now, the sun is setting, your whole day is wasted and you have nothing to show for it.

Procrastination can rob you of fun times. There's a world of opportunities you could take advantage of on your free day off, but if you don't use a little time management, you'll end up wasting your valuable time. Try spending a few minutes in the beginning of your day on planning your activities. After you've listed all your tasks, review your list and decide on the priority of each task. Give higher priority to the tasks that get you closer to your goals for the day. Having a written list of your activities and tasks makes it easier to plan and get started. While you may not be able to accomplish everything in one day, you will, undoubtedly, take full advantage of your full day of freedom.

Here are some ideas for you to put on your list:

1. Learn something new. Go visit a local museum or science center. What about sight-seeing?

2. Get moving. Go on a walk, hike or take a bike ride down some scenic areas.

3. Volunteer. There are always opportunities to give an extra hand to those in need. Find out how you can help around your community.

4. Workout with Wii Fit. Get your game on and get a different kind of workout by combining fitness and play with the Wii Fit. 5. Catch a flick and stroll down the stores. There are no lines, and cheap matinee tickets are available at the movies. Afterward, head to the mall for some window-shopping .

6. Have a picnic. If you are on your own for the day, take a book with you.

7. Become an artist. Play music, dance, sing, draw, paint, take pictures or write.

8. Pamper yourself with a day at the spa.

9. Play sports. Go out and try some tennis, soccer, surfing, skiing, golf, basketball or weight lifting. If you are on your own for the day, brush up on some of your moves.

10. Go antiquing or hit the local farmer's markets.

11. Write, call and catch up with your friends and love ones you haven't talked to in a while.

Commonly question about Fitness 11 Things to Do on Your Day Off

Question :

I m 14 and I eat between 900-1200 calories in a day. Is this okay?

I m 4 11/150cm and I weigh 98 Ibs. During term time, I do dance 3 times a week and often walk for 15-30 minutes a day. I m trying to lose weight over the summer, which is harder seeing as I m not doing my dance, but I walk for an hour every day, do some general stretches and exercises, 30 sit ups and 30 press ups (which I know won t help me lose weight, just a general fitness thing) so I was just wondering, is my daily calorie intake right or should I be eating more/less? I ve tried using a few different websites but they all seem to say completely different things so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think. Any help would be much appreciated!
Answer :
Becoming anorectic doesn t help. Just remember that. Nobody likes a stick.Other than that 1100-1300 calories a day is in your fat loss range. Your BMI is about 20 which is considered normal (BMI is for adults so don t get too into it, but if it goes below 18.5 you are too "light").

Question :

Does it sound like he likes me??

Well, there Is this guy in my gym class, and we were friends, and I started to get feelings for him. He is a grade older and will be going to high school next year. I decided to tell him how I actually feel, so I went up to him and said," listen, I like you and I know there are only 11 days left of school but I just wanted to let you know." and his reply was," oh, okay". We are out on the track by now and every one is fitness walking. But one of my friends was like," heyy, I c ( the guy I like) looking at you. He looks like he is thinking". And I did look like that. He started to approach me, cuz I was alone, but all my friends started walking alongside of me, and he walked away. The next day things were kinda awkward
, so I told him that maybe we should just be friends. Then I though that might b a bad idea so I went up to him in the halls and asked him if he liked me. He said he didn t know. Then yesterday we had locker clean outs and I had 5 really heavy bags and needed to drop them off at my last period class. It just so happened the "he" was in that class. I asked the sub if I could hold my stuff in there and "he" yelled out " no ( my name) you can t!" I said shut up, but Ina joking way. As I was walking out I was like " have fun" cuz he was going on the 8th grade feildtrip. Then in the library him and his friends were talking and I could hear them say," the girl in the green shirt?" and he was all " yea. The girl in the green shirt" I had a green shirt on at the time. Then his friends were all" girl in the green shirt I love you, go out with me, no I love her more, go out with me" and I started laughing. So I wanted to know, does he like me?
Answer :
I think he does. Tell your friends to let you be alone and maybe he ll ask you out. Guys act like they re not nervous but they really are, they just wanna seem cool. Or if you find out somehow that he does in fact like you, ask him out, because remember, he s shy. Hope I helped!!!
Question :

Question about three things!?

ok so im 13 got my first period march 13th and it stayed 7 days (well technically 6) and came 11 days later and finished april 2nd(i think) and it still didn t come back is this normal? and well now im a member at bally total fitness(im not fat) im short about 4 10 and i weight about 95-101LB (im not in the gym to lose weight im just there to watch my figure because im shot and if i get fat i wont look good) anyways i heard that like if u play sports or go to the gym your period gets delayed is that true? or is that why it didn t come yet?
and lastly when i go swimming their im gonna have my period and im not allowed to wear a tampon what do i do? also when i have it can i still go to the gym or will that affect it? thank you so much!
Answer :
If you are exercising your period can fluctuate in date and be late, etc. Unless you wear a tampon you can t really go swimming.
You can still go to the gym, exercising won t make a difference, I did hear that exercising does relieve cramps though
